Worcester County Championships 2026 - Weekend 1 - Long Distance Events

The 2026 Counties got off to a fantastic start on 18th January at Perdiswell Leisure Centre in Worcester for the Evesham Swimming Club Team! The day was a dedicated long distance event day which saw swimmers compete in the 1500m and 800m Freestyle events. Some very brave swimmers took on both! All swimmers worked really hard and there was a lot of PB's (approximately 66% which is incredible considering many of the swimmers achieved PB's in December when they last competed in these events!) In addition to brave swims and PB's many of our swimmers also achieved medals.

Ruby also earned the Junior Girls 800m Trophy which is awarded to the fastest 15 & Under female in the 800m event, and was runner up in the 1500m freestyle too!
