At Evesham Swimming Club we enter a range of Open Meets throughout the year. Please see the club calendar for more up to date information regarding this each year.
We try and achieve the following:

September to December - We will enter a range of Short Course Level 2 to Level 4 meets for swimmers to achieve County times. This includes our own L4 Winter Club Championships in October (more information below).

In December we host our own Level 4 Long Course Experience Open Meet to give swimmers the opportunity to compete in a 50m pool for the first time (information below). This is also vital for all swimmers as it is a warm up towards to the Long Course season.

After the County Championships (March to April) we will enter a range of Level 1 and Level 3 Long Course Open Meets where possible. This will assist with the experience of competing in a 50m pool and to give swimmers the opportunity to gain Regional and National qualifications. Some Short Course meets may also be included where required to ensure we give swimmers the best opportunity to qualify for the Regional Championships around the end of April / beginning of May.

In July we hold our own internal L4 Summer Club Championships for swimmers at ESC. We also host the Evesham Modern Biathlon to incorporate the fantastic opportunities at ESC with Run Club combining with a Swim.

 

August provides a break for competition after the National Championships.

If swimmers wish to attend extra meets that are not on our club calendar through the year then they are free to do so independently. In this situation the club will not get involved in entries or providing any coach support at the meet. All we ask is that swimmers do not enter meets when we have other commitments on the club calendar. Please speak to the Head Coach before entering extra events if there are events already due to take place. The Head Coach will be able to indicate whether you will be required in the club event on the calendar.
