The National Championships are split into two categories:

  • British Nationals

  • Home Nation Nationals

For both categories swimmers will be selected from the National Rankings Database, using Level 1 times recorded at Open Meets and Regional Championships.

The British Nationals are the top swimmers in England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland.

The Home Nation Nationals then select the next group of swimmers on rankings to compete in the athlete's club nation or the athlete's international representation nation.

For more details visit the Bristish Swimming Website.

In December Swim England also host a Winter National English Championships (Short Course). Qualifying times apply for this event at a Junior and Senior level and involve some of the top swimmers in Britain.
