EVESHAM SWIMMING CLUB CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING SUCCESS AT 2026 COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Evesham Swimming Club is celebrating a hugely successful 2026 Worcestershire County Championships, following three fantastic weekends of racing that showcased the strength, depth and spirit of the club.

Across the championships, swimmers delivered exceptional performances in and out of the pool, combining determination with enjoyment and team pride.

Head Coach, Harry Myers, praised the squad’s efforts, saying every swimmer should be proud of their performances.

While swimming is about far more than times and medals, the statistics from the championships highlight just how strong the team’s progress has been:

• Personal Best Rate: 76%• Total Personal Bests: 258• Female Club Records Broken: 34• Male Club Records Broken: 25• Total County Medals: 70• County Gold Medals: 27• County Trophies Won: 2

The 76% personal best rate across the competition is a remarkable achievement and reflects the hard work, consistency and commitment shown by swimmers throughout the season.

Among the standout achievements, several swimmers were crowned Age Group County Champions. Ruby added to her age group success by being crowned Junior Champion in the Girls 800m Freestyle, a fantastic accolade at county level.

Milton was also recognised with the highly contested Top Boy Award, marking the third consecutive year he has received this honour, an exceptional achievement and a testament to his consistency and excellence across multiple championships.

In addition to medal success, a number of swimmers also secured qualifying times for the upcoming West Midlands Regional Championships, underlining the continued progression of the club.

Evesham Swimming Club would also like to extend sincere thanks to all Team Managers, Officials and volunteers who generously gave up their time to support and help run the championships. Without their dedication behind the scenes, events like this simply would not be possible.

The club now looks ahead with excitement to the next stage of the season, building on what has been one of its most successful county championships to date.
